One of my friend got engaged when I shared my news with her, and the other one, who is currently attending law school, also got engaged at the end of August. It was such a surprising month and year – in August of 2008 – all of a sudden everyone is engaged! The two friends I have don’t know each other, but we are the same age with just a few months apart in our birthdays. Also, for the longest time we all have been single after college. They each had some short relationships, then I met my QT when I went back to school. Since we all live in different cities and I haven’t seen either of them for a while, I actually have not met their fiances except in pictures.
I doubt our weddings will actually be very close in dates, as I imagine at least of one of them will move a little faster than QT and I. I however feel very lucky, because we are going through one of the most important life phases together, and I can definitely use some help on how to handle this wedding thing as my family is not anywhere closeby.
